Overcome your fears

More than any other generation, we are looking for happiness and we are working hard to get this. We massively watch YouTube videos of Simon Senic, we follow various trajectories for our personal development, make long journeys, start a family and or go headlong for our careers. The majority of us seek this happiness outside of ourselves: in materials, relationships with others, work, home, etc. Moreover many of us were taught to run away from difficult emotions and haven’t learned to face them. Let alone allow them with Self-Compassion.

In the long run this doesn’t work, it often makes it worse and it can even poison our relationships without even knowing it. In this trajectory we do the oppositie. With Self-Compassion we learn to face our difficult emoties and thereby allowing them to let go. Because everything you resist persists.

With the increase of stress, anxiety and burn-out, our habitual approach doesn’t seem to be sustainable anymore. After all, how often do we really think about what to do, how we feel and where we want to go with our (working) life. The statement of the well-known Buddhist teacher Shantideva puts the finger on the sore spot.

Where could I possibly find enough leather
To cover the surface of the thorny earth?
Yet leather on the soles of my shoes
Is as good as covering the entire earth

Likewise it is not possible for me
To restrain the external course of things
But if I could restrain this mind of mine
Why would I need to restrain all else?

Mindfulness Tips and Exercises – make a start now

This mini-workbook stimulates you to take the first steps in the world of mindfulness and self-compassion and helps you to bring it in to practice.

Reducing stress

Learn to let go of stress, control and perfectionism and be more relaxed and in touch with yourself.

Become aware of your limits, recognize stress signals and allows stress to be released.

The approach is down-to-earth, practically applicable, fun without loosing any depth.

Tackling root causes

We go to the root of the matter and merge western psychology with eastern traditions.

In this trajectory we will go inwards. You will learn to face your difficult emotions with Self-Compassion and thereby make space for happiness and inner peace, discover important values and learn to follow them.

Happiness is something that is in us and you will discover how to unlock that. Living from love in instead of fear. Mindfulness, self-compassion and even non-violent communication elements will come back in a playful, varied and interactive approach.

With Beyond Mindfulness I aim to make the wisdom of the traditional movements (i.e. Buddhism) accessible to a larger group, in order to let people experience long-term inner peace, joy and happiness. In my personal quest, Due to my curious and searching nature, I have walked various paths. I studied in Wales, I lived and worked in Tanzania and worked both in business and the mental health.

I have the ambition to make a genuine contribution so that people can act less from fear and more from love and a connection to life. With my experiences as a meditation practitioner and as a professional trainer-coach I can offer a unique combination of activities.
